Be very careful around these snakes, even though they are not poisonous their bites HURT! The bigget snake in Ohio is probably the Northern Black racer snake. They can brow to be about 4 feet long!! Thats as big as a 3rd grader!!
HOW TO IDENTIFY A POISONUS SNAKE
If you are close enough to a snake that you think is poisonus(if your not close enough don't get close!DUH!) look into its eyes. If its pupils are shaped liked very skiny ovals, its poisonus, if its pupils are shaped like circles or fat ovals, its not poisonus. The only poisonus snakes in Ohio are the copperhead and the cotton mouth
